We are hiring Campaign and Communication Officer

Position title: Campaign and Communication Officer
Position purpose: coordinating and implementing CAP intl campaigns and communication policy.
Reporting to: CAP international Executive director
Collaborating with: CAP intl Administration and Development officer
Location: Paris
Fixed term contract: 1 year

Coordinate and implement CAP strategic campaigns

  • Develop strategies (concept notes, action plans) and tools (research, thematic publications, communication tools …) for CAP international strategic campaigns.
  • Coordinate the mobilization of members and partners on these campaigns, and the identification of strategic allies and targets.
  • Coordinate the organisation of international workshops, events and conferences and the preparation of petitions, manifestos, advocacy initiatives.
  • Collaborate with CAP intl Administration and Development Officer on the definition and implementation of campaign programmes and projects.
  • Contribute to the sourcing of funding for, and reporting on the impact of campaigns.

Coordinate and implement CAP communication policy

  • Conceptualise and develop communication tools aimed at highlighting the value of CAP international (e.g. brochure, presentation of the network, annual reports, newsletter, reporting, financial communication).
  • Manage CAP international website and social media.
  • Develop and update a directory of contacts and targets.
  • Develop and coordinate a media strategy.
  • Support the Administration and Development Officer in the implementation of an internal communication and mobilisation strategy.
  • Develop a network of communication officers (or similar roles) within CAP intl’s member organisations.
  • Collect, share and highlight regular information on CAP members’ activities and priorities.

Assist the Executive Director with any additional work as may be required from time to time


  • Master degree in communication / international advocacy / development or a related field;
  • Must demonstrate superior verbal and written communication skills in English. Fluency in French is highly desirable. Knowledge of Spanish or another language is an advantage ;
  • Previous experience in campaign management, planning of special events and development of communications strategies;
  • Must exhibit proficiency with the electronic communication, computing, communication and networking software, list serves, the internet and social media;
  • Integrity in representing the organization and its work to all partners.
  • Experience in project management in a multi-cultural team and strong organization to work effectively;
  • Strong creativity, communication, networking and facilitation skills
  • Independent, pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task effectively
  • Knowledge of international and regional human rights framework and relevant human rights mechanisms/instruments is a plus
