During the 60th session of the Commission on the Status of Women in New York, CAP International organised two side events.

More than 300 diplomats and NGO representatives attended CAP international’s side-event in the United National headquarters, which explored “Refugees and displaced people, victims of terrorist groups: women and girls exposed to a continuum of sexual violence and exploitation”.

Speakers included French Minister for Women’s Rights Laurence Rossignol and Yazidi activist and survivor of sexual slavery Nadia Murad Bassee.

During CAP International’s second side event, members of CAP international from Germany, South Africa, India, France and Ireland, presented country situations and recommendations.
