Access to decent work
Prostitution of others is not “sex work” but a lucrative system of sexual exploitation and abuse that jeopardises social justice and gender equality efforts. It is incompatible with worker’s rights and “decent work” as defined by the International Labour Organisation.
Our coalition works to identify and mobilise abolitionist trade unions. On the occasion of our World Congresses Against Sexual Exploitation in Paris in 2014 and New Delhi in 2017, several trade union representatives presented the commitment of their organisations to fighting all forms of sexual exploitation, including the prostitution of others.
