Position purpose: consolidating CAP intl’ s Secretariat and Movement
Reporting to: CAP international Executive director
Collaborating with: CAP intl Campaign and Communication officer and CAP intl Board
Location: Paris
Fixed term contract: 1 year

Job description

Consolidation of CAP intl administrative structures

Objective and activities: Implementation actions to ensure that CAP international meets all financial, legal and governance standards.

  • Audit of current financial, administrative and governance policies and practices within Cap Intl.
  • Development and implementation of any additional internal polices and processes required
  • If necessary, identification and sourcing of external resources to maximise efficiency and value for money (e.g. accounts services)

Implementation note: to be implemented in partnership with the Executive Director and the Treasurer.

Mobilising new resources for CAP international

Objective and activities: develop and enhance CAP international’s impact by mobilising new resources (fundraising, volunteers, strategic partners).

  • Coordination of fundraising efforts
  • Recruitment of skilled volunteers (pro bono advisers, translators…)
  • Development of a CAP intl “community” (supporters, followers, advisory board, donors)

Implementation note: to be implemented in partnership with the Executive director and the Campaigns and Communication Officer.

 Membership and coalition consolidation

Objective and activities: implementation of CAP intl membership policy and consolidation of CAP intl as a global and united movement of local NGOs.

  • Acting as a focal point for new applicants and managing application processes + identifying potential new members
  • Framing and implementing CAP intl internal communication strategy
  • Supporting members in their participation to CAP intl activities + identifying their expectations and needs + mobilising CAP intl members on joint initiatives
  • Support to the governance of CAP intl (Boards, GAs, Congresses)
  • Support to relevant programmes and projects based on CAP intl and its members needs and priorities (includes: fundraising, membership communications, evaluation and reporting)

Implementation note: to be implemented in partnership with the Executive director and the Executive committee (membership strategy, support to members and governance) and with the Campaigns and Communication Officer (internal communication policy)

REQUIREMENTS

  • Master degree in NGO/organisational administration and management / international development / projects management;
  • Must demonstrate superior organisational skills;
  • Must demonstrate professional rigor and ability to meet deadlines;
  • Good mastery of French NGOs legal, financial and administrative environment;
  • Fluency in French and English is required. Spanish and other languages are an advantage;
  • Previous experience in NGO’s administration management, projects and programmes development, fundraising and reporting;
  • Must exhibit proficiency with administrative, financial and organizational softwares;
  • Strong integrity and loyalty to the NGO and its members.
  • Experience in coordination of networks and movements in a multi-cultural team and strong organization to work effectively;
  • Independent, pro-active and self-motivated with the ability to multi-task effectively

 Other

Applicants for this position must possess current EU work authorisation valid for the duration of the contract.

 REMUNERATION

Remuneration to be discussed according to competences and experiences.
