CAP Intl in 2024 : 22 694 victims of prostitution supported!
01 December 20252024 was a dynamic year for CAP International: the celebration of the coalition’s 10th anniversary, the completion of phase 1 of the EXIT field programme, the organisation of the 4th World Congress for the Abolition of Prostitution in Montreal, mobilisation during the European elections, and the historic victory of the French abolitionist law before the ECtHR.
Committed to its mission to unite and amplify the voices of frontline workers, survivors of prostitution, and allies around the world CAP International continued to highlight, on international, national, and regional stages, the urgent need to abolish the prostitution system.
In 2024, the coalition gathered 1,192 volunteer activists and 669 staff members across its 37 member organisations in 29 countries. Collectively, CAP International members supported 22,694 victims of prostitution and sexual exploitation , a figure that reflects thousands of individual lives, mainly women and girls facing multiple and intersecting vulnerabilities.
Two new organisations also joined the coalition: Democracy Development Center (Ukraine) and Acción Contra la Trata (Spain), further strengthening this international network of frontline organisations.
“2024 was a remarkable year of celebration for CAP International. Our tenth anniversary represents not only a decade of achievements, but also the growth of a global movement. From nine founding members in 2013–2014, CAP International now brings together 37 frontline organisations across the world, united in the goal of ending the prostitution system.
I would like to extend my deepest thanks to our Secretariat, as well as to our members, partners, donors, and volunteers: it is thanks to your commitment that this movement exists.”
— Cherie Jimenez, President of CAP International
