Meet the two newest members of our coalition! ✊
14 May 2025Two new NGO have joined CAP International and are now part of the coalition to fight the prostitution system.
Weavers of Hope
Weavers of Hope is an Italian NGO focusing on empowering survivors of human trafficking, supporting migrants and refugee women in vulnerable situations, raising public awareness about trafficking, and providing essential resources for rebuilding lives. The organisation achieves this through comprehensive survivor support programs, which include counselling and therapy services, safe housing initiatives, and legal assistance.

Weavers of Hope also facilitates vocational training workshops in order to achieve economic empowerment and establishes partnerships with local businesses to promote sustainable employment opportunities. Additionally, the NGO participates anti-trafficking campaigns to educate and engage the public, and advocacy for policy change to strengthen legal protections and support systems for survivors, migrants, and refugee women. The NGO is working to represent the voices of African women survivors of human trafficking in Italy. Its mission is dedicated to creating a world where human rights are universally upheld—a world in which women and girls can move without fear of being captured, raped, or exploited. Weavers of Hope strives for a world rooted in love and solidarity, free from racism, sexism, homophobia, and classism.
“Weavers of Hope APS seeks to join an international network dedicated to combating the prostitution of women and girls because we recognize prostitution as a profound form of violence and exploitation. It is directly linked to sex trafficking, which disproportionately affects women and girls who are often coerced or deceived into the sex trade. Becoming part of such a network will strengthen our advocacy for a world where women and girls are free from all forms of exploitation. It provides an opportunity to share experiences, collaborate on effective strategies, and contribute to global efforts to dismantle the systems that sustain prostitution and trafficking. Additionally, membership in an international network will enhance our capacity to influence policies and engage in collective action for systemic change. It will also ensure that the voices and lived experiences of survivors are heard at a global level, reinforcing our commitment to empowering women, defending their dignity, and advocating for their fundamental rights.”
