10 June 2014, Montréal and Ottawa
On the invitation of its Canadian member, La CLES, CAP International’s Executive Director Grégoire Théry, visited members of the Canadian government and Members of Parliament. The delegation was received by the Minister of Justice, the Minister of Home Affairs and several MPs.
Thanks to the mobilisation of La CLES and its partners, Canada adopted a progressive abolitionist law on prostitution in December 2014.
During his visit, Mr Théry presented the primary policy positions on prostitution, the French abolitionist movement, as well as CAP International’s work in the Grande bibliothèque of Montréal. Watch his presentation.
