On 13-14 June, CAP International and its members Women@thewell (UK), Comision Unidos vs Trata (Mexico) and Fondation Scelles (France) presented and participated in an international conference on « Sharing models and best practices to end modern slavery and restore dignity to its victims ».
Organised by the Pontifical Academy of Sciences, the conference kept a strong focus on the successful « Nordic Model ». It provided space to discuss criminalising the purchase of sex as a way to end trafficking, and an opportunity to engage with Maltese political actors, including the President of Malta, as well as exchange best practices on policies.
